Usually property (owned), equities, pension fund (within a trust) and your business
Today specifically, we’re talking about your business of course. And one type of asset your business owns is intellectual property.
Software, designs, systems etc..
But also your client and prospect database too. How much is that worth do you think?
I guess you’d simply measure how much revenue those clients generate for you every year.
So how can you increase the value of your client and prospect list?
How can you make it more of an income generating asset?
Simple. Send your clients and prospects useful and relevant content, stuff that will help them in their businesses (or lives if you sell B2C)
And yes, sell them more of what you sell, be it products or services or a combo of both.
Then sell them other people’s products and services that complement your own. Or make them yourself (weigh this up, sometimes easier to sell affiliate deals)
The best way to do all this?
I thought you’d never ask.
Email marketing. An email newsletter in fact. You don’t have to use fancy shmancy artwork or graphics, just an plain email with relevant photos or links to video
Depends what you sell of course, ecom brands need images.
My point is, build and nurture your relationship with your clients and prospects via email. Make them look forward to getting your email.
Ask them what they want and give it to them
Get your clients to spend more.
Get your clients to spend more, more often
Get more clients.
Build your client and prospect database. Make more money from it now and it will be an even more valuable asset when you come to sell your business somewhere down the line…
